So it’s been a bit of bumpy road for this little project; real life stuff and busy schedules is not the best mix when trying to start something like this. Especially when THIS is something none of us on this staff has ever done before.
Long story short I am committed to see this through, we have the website up and running in all it’s dodgy yet fun glory, our webmaster, who is equally s dodgy, is doing his thing to help polish the place up, and now we actually have a script for our first episode to get things rolling.
And that leads us to a small problem: We have been very lucky indeed to find some talented people to fill most of the character roles -operative word here being ‘most’ - however, we’re short two roles and unfortunately they are two we cannot go forward with until they are filled.
For the fellow fans that know the fandom, the names Bunnie Rabbot and Dr Robotnik
need no introduction, for those who are unfamiliar?
Bunnie Rabbot: A typical Southern gal, Bunnie is straightforward, honest, kind, patient, and cheerful. Until you get her dander up, that is. One of the quickest ways to do that is to threaten her friends in any way, at which point she shows just how tough a belle can be. She\\\\\\\'s both aided and cursed in this by her roboticized legs and left arm, which give her tremendous strength and durability but also serves as a constant reminder of the dire fate that Dr. Robotnik has in store for all Mobian-kind. She sometimes shows a profound sadness regarding her partly metallic state, but her determination and optimism always pulls her through it.
Dr Robotnik (Julian): Asserting himself within the high ranks of the Acorn kingdom, Julian gave aid to the mobians in defeating their enemies in what has since become known as ‘The Great War’. In the aftermath of their victory, Julian convinced the King to disband the loyal Mobians guards in place of his ‘machines’, which would lead to the biggest mistake in trust the King would ever make. Soon after, using his machines now in place, Julian seized control of the Kingdom, announced his name as Dr Robotnik, banished the King, and swiftly took control of the main capital, Mobotroplis. Turning the residents into machine slaves, transforming the entire city into his own dark and twisted image, Dr Robotnik, without challenge, had seized complete control.
And while I’m at it, we do have a minor that needs filling eventually:
Uncle Chuck (Sir Charles): The uncle of Sonic the Hedgehog. One of the great scientific minds of his time. It was the creation of one of his inventions, the Roboticiser, that would ultimately be responsible for the slavery of his own people, and the rise to power of Dr Robotnik. He would be the first to be turned into a mindless robotic slave from his invention, and it would not be for ten long years until his mind would be freed once again, from the help of his nephew. Still trapped in a robotic body, yet his mind now his own. Using this to easily infiltrate and became a spy under Robotnik’s very nose, Uncle Chuck remained in Robotropolis, both out of guilt for creating the machine that enslaved so many, and the shame that came with his mind being the only one free from it.
